This all-out variety program for children was presented with the cooperation of all Twin City radio stations, 57 local radio personalities, and numerous civic leaders, who donated their services for the biggest radio entertainment show ever presented in Minnesota. The three-hour broadcast offered music and comedy contributions by well-known Twin City radio entertainers, interspersed with informal messages from outstanding civic leaders and officials, as well as special telegraphed greetings to the children of the Northwest from Sister Elizabeth Kenny, Bing Crosby, Rosalind Russell, and Kate Smith. Twin City newspapers cooperated wholeheartedly in publicizing this large-scale civic demonstration, and public response by phone call and letters was overwhelming, both during and after the broadcast.
