This list shows the enslaved Black women who were field hands, cooks and domestic workers on the Campsavana Estate in 1834. The records recording the lives of enslaved persons can be incredibly brutal and dehumanizing, often reducing men and women to tallies in a log book. However, this list of names can also give a small glimpse at the individual lives of these women.
