Shirletta Sims, the 1965 United Foundation campaign’s “Miss Torchy.” The United Foundation was an umbrella organization for charities in Detroit, which ran an annual fund drive. Burroughs Corporation, a technology hardware company, was an active participant and donor in the charitable drive.
