Description
Image of a clipping of a newspaper editorial titled, "Communications," edited from a digitized version of a page from the September 14, 1900 issue of the The Minnesota Daily student newspaper (page 2). The text is as follows:
Several inquiries have been made of the editors of the Daily about communications to the paper. The Daily will be glad to receive at any time any communication from any registered student or member of the faculty, upon any subject pertinent to University life and interests. The editors will, however, reserve the right to reject or edit the same. No communication should be over 250 words in length - unless the subject is such that it will require more words - and all articles submitted must be signed by the writer. The editor will use his discretion as to publishing the name. It must be understood that the Daily cannot accept literary productions - it does not want them.
The editors will be glad to receive at any time notes of interest from the Alumni, also, and trusts its friends in that large body will remember it.
The Daily will be pleased to receive suggestions from any of its subscribers, that will lead to improvement in the paper in any line. The editors want to make the paper desirable and a necessity, if you will, to every student, and they desire the co-operation and assistance of everyone interested in the University, in the way of gathering the news, and in presenting it to the paper’s readers in the best style."
