Description

Image of a clipping of a newspaper notice and editorial titled, "Notice to Subscribers," and "The Daily's Advertisers," edited from a digitized version of a page from the September 15, 1900 issue of the The Minnesota Daily student newspaper (page 2). The text is as follows:

Notice to Subscribers
Tuesday, and thereafter, the Daily will be distributed through the post office boxes which will be assigned on Monday. Subscribers who have not a post office box will have to get their Daily at the business manager’s desk. Everybody should have a box however - it is almost a University duty, and the Daily would urge all to secure one, and today if possible, that your box may be assigned at once.

The list, which will be posted in a prominent place in the office, is only a temporary one. Each subscriber for a box will please see that his or her name is correct; if it is not report the fact to Miss Poucher, the stenographer and clerk - do not make the correction on the typewritten list, as that will not be corrected.

When the list is correct and complete, it will be printed and put under glass - for safe keeping. Get a box and - subscribe for the Daily.

The Daily’s Advertisers
The Business Manager of the Daily has been favored by the advertisers of the city with kind and liberal treatment whever he has gone. The Daily appreciates the fact very much, and trusts that its columns will prove a good medium for the business men of the city.

The subscribers of the paper would confer a favor not only on the Daily but on the advertisers, by mentioning, when they make a purchase of any of the firms advertising in its columns, that the advertisement for the goods purchased was seen in the Daily. It is a small matter for the purchaser; it means more to the advertiser and to this paper. It would be a kindness which the Daily would repay by better and more complete news service."
