The text of the notice printed beneath the title and volume/date/number header is as follows:
"Official Daily Bulletin Notices: My attention has been called recently to the fact that a good many unofficial notices have been appearing in the Official Daily Bulletin. I find that the minutes of the Administrative Committee of the Senate (June 11, 1919) refer to this same matter as follows: “Suggestions regarding the Official Daily Bulletin - The objection was made that announcements other than those of an official character were creeping into the Official Daily Bulletin. This was explained largely on the ground that the Minnesota Daily was discontinued at the beginning of the so called examination period. It was further felt that during the summer session when there was no other medium for distributing information, that notices other than strictly official ones might be included; but in general it is understood that when the Minnesota Daily is in operation the Official Daily Bulletin shall confine itself to official University notices.” It is believed that this action, taken in 1919, was the proper action to take and that there is no reason for changing the practice now. Consequently only official University Notices will appear in the Bulletin hereafter.
