Black and white print photograph depicting a scene from the main campus of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis facing West from Pillsbury Hall depicting the layout of the buildings on Pillsbury Drive, with the Chemistry Building on the left in the foreground, the Mechanic Arts Building behind it, and the ruins of the Main Building (Old Main) beyond that. The rest of the image depicts persons walking on the sidewalk that runs parallel to Pillsbury Drive, which is unpaved, and the lawns on either side of the road which are lined with trees. The Physics Building is on the right side of the photograph. The Dorr Fountain, which is located on the corner of Pillsbury Drive and Pleasant Street is visible near the center of the photograph.
