Description
Image of a clipping of a newspaper article titled, "The Ariel Meet Today," edited from a digitized version of a page from the January 20, 1900 issue of the Ariel student newspaper (202). The text is displayed as it originally appeared on the page layout. The text is as follows:
"Remember that the Ariel Association meets today in chapel at the fourth hour to determine whether or not any changes shall be made in the publication of the Ariel. The meeting was to have occurred a week ago, but not being sufficiently attended accomplished nothing. The interest evinced in the subject so far is hardly what it should be. The students do not seem to realize fully the significance that attaches to the subject. It is one of vital importance. The publications of the University are in a large measure responsible for its standing abroad, while at home they are concerned in keeping up the interest and enthusiasm in University affairs. How to promote these interests in the most effectual manner is the question we want to decide. No action should be taken without due deliberation where so much is at stake. We hope that the members of the Ariel Association will turn out to the meeting, and be prepared to give their opinions for whatever plan they advocate."
