Description
Image of a clipping of a newspaper article titled, "Shall It Be a Tri-Weekly?," edited from a digitized version of a page from the November 11, 1899 issue of the Ariel student newspaper (112). The text is displayed as it originally appeared on the page layout. The text is as follows:
"There has been some talk about changing the Ariel from a weekly into a tri-weekly during the winter and spring terms and into a daily during the football season. This would, of course, necessitate its being changed into a four-page, instead of a twenty-page paper; but it would have a much greater opportunity to give news as it occurs, instead of simply giving a resume of the week’s news. Whether this change actually takes place or not will rest entirely with the student body. The object of the Ariel board is to give the greatest satisfaction which it can. So if it is the wish of our readers to have the change made, it shall be done. Of course, after the close of the football season there will not be so much news of interest as there is during the fall term. We would like to hear from our subscribers in regard to this, in order that we may know the real sentiment of the students."
