Decorations and the Circle
None of Roselli's other charts is the same as the 1466 portolan, though there are many similarities in the form and decoration.
For example, the Madonna and Child on the 1466 portolan chart is found also on the 1464 map. The windheads, which may be a self-portrait of Roselli, are similar on these two maps. Of Roselli’s earlier charts, only the 1464 map shows the island of Antilia.
Like the Canepa, the Roselli portolan chart has a central circle, about 19 inches in diameter surrounded by a second circle that is 27 inches in diameter.
