Description

Image of a clipping of a newspaper article titled, "Faculty Members Have Veto Power," edited from a digitized version of a page from the March 24, 1906 issue of The Minnesota Daily student newspaper (page 1). The text of the article is as follows:

"A new resolution adopted at the last meeting of the faculty council was brought to light yesterday, to the effect that the two faculty members of the Daily Board of Publishers be giv- the power to veto any action of the Board, which they might deem unwise and prejudicial to the best interests of the student body and the University, Board having the right to apparel to the Council.

Dr. Schaper stated that the new regulation was simply a definition of the power of the faculty already existing, and that it would not tend to interfere with the right of the students in initiating the policy of the Daily."
