silkworm, silk, mulberry, and silk industry

A silk workshop. Two individuals are busy spinning silk. One is in the bottom left corner of the engraving bend over a large pot where the silk cocoons are simmering over a hot oven. The other is placed farther away, by a wrapping machine, gently spinning the narrow threads that are stretching out of the pot. Baskets of silkworms are visible around the workshop and bundles of freshly spun silk are hanging on the wall behind the spinning machine.
