Campus Kiosk: The Voice of Student Groups at the U
Students are the core to what makes up a university. Their voices matter. Throughout history, students have always fought for what they believe is right, even when people in positions of power undermine them. Come see how student organizations used freehand drawing, screen printing, and photography to decorate, illustrate, and depict messages on posters, fliers, and signs throughout time, in order to communicate events, meetups, and calls to action. Meant to attract audiences to a particular place and time, these ephemeral visual representations of student life have survived the decades and now tell us more about who these people were, what communities they represented, and what role they had in shaping campus life.
