Page is a pale yellow paper and features a full-page wood engraving illustration printed in black ink. Illustration depicts a lion captured in a tangled net and sitting up on its front legs, looking down at a mouse. The mouse is standing up on its hind legs and meeting the lion’s gaze. Their surroundings are rocky and jagged. Illustration is enclosed in thin, one-line border. Beneath the illustration, the words “The Lion and the Mouse” are printed in small serif letterpress type, all capitals. Page laid on black background.
