Photographic scan of interior of T’sirk (Circus), Samuil Marshak, illustrated by Vladimir Lebedev, Leningrad: Raduga, 1928. Scan of two-page spread. Pages are yellowed paper with red and black cyrillic type; the type on the left page is bolded. The left page depicts a woman in yellow playing a violin as she walks on a high rope between two raised points. The right page depicts a large, smiling elephant raised up on his hind legs and playing a red and yellow drum with a black drumstick. The elephant is also wearing a red and yellow decorative saddle. Both pages feature lines on or two lines of text both above and below these illustrations.
