1489 Canepa

The African portion of the Roselli and Canepa portolans is nearly identical at first glance.

The same shape is given to the mountains and three tents are located south of them; one tent is found to the east. But on closer examination differences are evident: Roselli has an elephant, a camel, many flags and several cities in the Africa part of his map that are not found on the Canepa portolan chart.
